Charolais and Māconnais goat cheeses

After reflecting as a group and investing 10 years of research, the producers of Charolais et Māconnais Goat Cheese have requested recognition of their cheeses in terms of an Appellation d'Origine Controlee in order to preserve a part of their heritage as well as the authenticity and typicity of their products.
   
Charolais, breeding ground par excellence, with gentle rolling hills, forests and prairies framed with hedges. Māconnais, land of hillside vineyards, "teppes" planted with box trees and grass on the hills, with thick forests on the summits.
