The eighties:
The milk conquest !

Two major phenomena mark the decade. First, the arrival of other members of the Chevenet family on the cultivation scene : Jacqueline, Louis' wife quits teaching in order to take part in the agriculture (1982), their son Thierry moves in with them upon finishing his studies (1986), followed by his sister Cécile (1989).
Second of all, the cultivation is divided into two distinct structures (1986). On the one hand, the G.A.E.C. OF BARATTE, takes charge of breeding and plant production...on the other hand, the S.A.R.L. CHEVENET gains responsibility of producing and marketing high end cheeses. The number of goats reaches 600.
